Why Now

Eleven programs closed. Italy is the last one open at the old price.

That’s eleven of seventeen major European and EU-adjacent programs gone in four years.

Spain shut its program in April 2025. Greece pushed real estate to €800,000. Portugal pulled real estate out entirely and funnelled applicants into funds with year-long queues. The UK and Ireland closed years ago.

What’s left standing at €250,000 with no stay requirement is Italy. Applications went from 128 in 2024 to a record 209 in 2025, with 2026, per practitioner reports, on pace to roughly five-fold that.

The flip side: demand has outrun staffing. The Nulla Osta, once a few weeks, now commonly runs one to three months, and a backlog is starting to build. That is the whole case for moving before the queue, not after.

This webinar will break down everything so you’ll know whether you should move now or wait.

Who's Hosting

No sales deck. A qualified Italian lawyer.

Alessandro Palombo

Alessandro Palombo holds a Ph.D. in Public Law, is a qualified Italian lawyer, and holds a master’s in the regulation of global markets. He’s spent a decade building businesses, residencies, and investment structures across European and non-European jurisdictions, with more than €25M moved through these programs under his direction. He’s also the person behind some of the most-followed jurisdictional intelligence content on the internet, and through Bitizenship he runs an Italian innovative startup built for the Investor Visa, the Bitcoin Dolce Visa.

This webinar distills that experience into a clear, current read on Italy’s Investor Visa: the routes, the math, the real timeline, and whether it fits your own situation.

Four ways in, one visa

Pick the route that matches your risk, not the smallest number.

Italy gives you four qualifying routes into the same Investor Visa. The startup route is the cheapest to enter; the bond route is the safe, capital-heavy end. The webinar walks through each in depth. We will also put Italy next to Greece, Portugal, and now-closed Spain, so you can see exactly why Italy still wins on price and terms.

What You'll Get

90 minutes, 7 sections, full Q&A.

Everything you need to evaluate Italy’s Investor Visa in 2026, structured so you leave knowing the routes, the costs, the real timeline, and whether to move now or wait.

01

Why now: Europe is repricing residency

8 min

Spain closed, Greece went to €800K, Portugal dropped real estate. Why Italy is the last big door open at the old price.

02

The numbers, and what the surge really looks like

8 min

7 applications in 2018, 128 in 2024, a record 209 in 2025, and 2026 on pace to roughly five-fold that. Rumours flagged as rumours.

03

The four routes: €250K to €2M

10 min

Innovative startup, established company, philanthropic donation, or government bonds. Matching the route to your risk, not the smallest number.

04

Why Italy still wins the comparison

9 min

Invest after approval, no days required, low entry. The three things that rarely line up together anywhere else.

05

Residency is not tax residency

12 min

The part most write-ups skip. The 24-bis €300K flat tax on foreign income, and how it clicks with the visa, on purpose and separately.

06

The real 2026 timeline (and the forming backlog)

9 min

The Nulla Osta was a few weeks; it now commonly runs one to three months as demand outpaces staffing and a backlog starts to build. The consular biometric slot, and why to budget six to nine months all in.

07

Should you wait? And who should pass

8 min

The counterargument. Which parts to start now, which never to rush, and the profiles this program is wrong for.

Who This Is For

Built for four profiles.

Italy’s Investor Visa fits some people cleanly and others not at all. If you’re one of these, this webinar will save you weeks of research.

01

UHNW with €5M+ foreign income

Italy’s 24-bis caps tax on all foreign income at €300K/yr flat, for up to 15 years. Above ~€1M of foreign income, it pays for itself several times over.

02

UK ex-non-doms on a ticking clock

The 4-year UK transition ends April 2029. Italy’s 24-bis flat tax plus the Investor Visa is the cleanest exit on the table.

03

Mobile families wanting an EU foothold

Residency in months, no days required, renewable indefinitely. Schengen travel, healthcare and schooling, spouse and children included.

04

Bitcoin-aligned & founder investors

The €250K innovative-startup route: indirect Bitcoin exposure through equity in a real operating company, not a fund or a coin.
